FlightLine ("we," "us," or "our") operates a cloud-based aircraft maintenance and fleet management platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using our Service, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and organizational details. Authentication is handled by Clerk; we do not store your password directly.

Fleet and Maintenance Data

You may enter aircraft details (tail numbers, make, model, serial numbers), maintenance records, airworthiness directive compliance records, technician information, and scheduling data. This data belongs to you; we process it solely to provide the Service.

Usage Data

We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps to operate and improve the Service. We do not sell this data.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Paddle, our merchant of record. We do not store credit card numbers or other payment credentials. We receive only subscription status and billing identifiers from Paddle.

Communications

If you contact us by email or submit a support request, we retain that correspondence to resolve your inquiry.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process transactions and manage subscriptions
  • Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, maintenance reminders)
  • Respond to support inquiries
  • Monitor and analyze usage to improve features
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

We retain your account and fleet data for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days after cancellation, after which it is permanently deleted. You may export or delete your data at any time from within the Service. Anonymized, aggregate usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and access controls to protect your data. No system is completely secure; in the event of a breach we will notify affected users as required by law.

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy laws, including:

  • Access — request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion — request deletion of your account and data
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Opt-out of SMS — update your notification preferences in Settings

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary session cookies for authentication (managed by Clerk). We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
